Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks on various commercial and residential job sites throughout Honolulu.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, soil, etc.) efficiently using forklifts or manual methods.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, project managers, and site foremen regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Keep the cab and truck bed clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to protect the public and crew.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Dump Truck experience highly preferred).
- Current DOT medical card and ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical.
- Strong knowledge of weight limits, cargo securement, and traffic laws specific to Hawaii.
- Ability to work independently in various weather conditions and challenging terrain.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
