Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial locations throughout Virginia Beach
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Efficiently plan routes using GPS technology to optimize delivery schedules and minimize fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve delivery-related inquiries
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and maintain organized cargo areas
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience or delivery background preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening as required by company policy
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
