Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial locations
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely and efficient service
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon completion
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and maintain organized cargo space
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class D or equivalent) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of delivery or professional driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville area streets and neighborhoods
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking apps
- Exceptional customer service communication abilities
- Must pass background check and drug screening
