Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles following all Illinois traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Efficiently navigate Chicago metropolitan area using optimized routing systems
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, proof of delivery records, and inventory documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and problem resolution
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on real-time traffic conditions
- Adhere to temperature control requirements for sensitive cargo during transport
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management skills and punctuality-oriented work ethic
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and DOT physical examination
- Knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and traffic patterns preferred
