Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations throughout the Seattle metropolitan area.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring items are secure and protected during transit.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers, handling questions or concerns with a positive attitude.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, mechanically sound, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Route Planning: Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivals at all stops.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including proof of delivery and mileage records.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class C Driver's License required. A clean driving record (MVR) is mandatory.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Technology: Proficient in using smartphone applications for GPS navigation and delivery management.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
