Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on dedicated regional routes
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient load handling
- Ensure secure cargo handling and delivery documentation
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning
- Participate in quarterly safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips (4-5 days/month)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assessments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for cargo securing
