Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Document hours of service (HOS) and mileage accurately using ELD devices.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies.
- Ensure cargo is secured and protected against damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required (if no CDL, willing to obtain training).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a good driving record with no major violations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to company-specific driving protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during loading/unloading.
