Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation per DOT regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo at various locations
- Adhere to all safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Communicate effectively with customers and logistics coordinators
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Willingness to travel overnight and weekends as required
