Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and legal manner over assigned routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required documentation (Bill of Lading, delivery receipts).
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of interstate traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional nights/weekends if required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
