Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances (OTR) adhering to all federal and state regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
- Accurately complete and maintain electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading with care to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT compliance, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and logbook regulations.
- Willingness to travel long distances and work flexible hours as needed.
