Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes between Oahu, Maui, and Big Island
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and load planning
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong knowledge of Hawaii's unique terrain and island geography
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends
