Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and documents throughout Dallas and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries and optimal fuel usage
- Load and unload packages with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds regularly
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology
- Strong knowledge of Dallas roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
