Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and medical supplies across Arlington and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and route interactions
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Handle specialized packages with temperature controls or fragile items per protocol
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and delays
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Strong time-management skills with ability to adhere to strict delivery windows
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT/Federal regulations
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or early morning shifts
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
