Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs, including electronic logging devices (ELD) compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, shippers, and receivers to ensure timely delivery.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service and represent the company positively at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MVR compliant).
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred, but new drivers are welcome with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
