Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor duties.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends as needed.
