Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to various local destinations in the Arlington area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing duties that require prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong knowledge of local Arlington and North Texas roadways and traffic patterns.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
