Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and regional freight transport
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage delivery timelines and documentation
- Maintain clean driving record and professional appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- 2+ years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Louisiana roadways and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including weekends
