Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on regional and local delivery routes.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (CVSA) to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure strict adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and verify delivery orders.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues immediately to maintenance to ensure fleet safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card and ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen.
- Ability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) and weekends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
