Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport cargo to and from various destinations in the Milwaukee area and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and secure cargo accurately, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging device (ELD) compliance and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
