Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently across the local Long Beach area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured and documented.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company reputation at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (Class B may be considered for specific roles).
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of road conditions and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks associated with cargo.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime.
