Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo accurately to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and maintain all required documentation and paperwork.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent time management and navigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle the physical demands of the job.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
