Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) on dedicated regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs/records
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading at client sites
- Deliver freight on time while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction
- Utilize GPS systems for route optimization and real-time tracking
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Illinois roadways and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging
- Must pass background check
