Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across Ohio and neighboring states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous trip logs and inspection reports
- Load/unload freight with precision using provided equipment or dock facilities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while optimizing routes for on-time delivery
- Represent SwiftLogistics professionally at customer sites and during transit stops
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience or recent CDL graduate with training certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic smartphone navigation
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules (average 3-5 days per week)
- Strong time management skills and commitment to delivery deadlines
- Willingness to complete company-specific safety and equipment training
