Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) for local/regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete thorough pre/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timing
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic records (ELD compliant)
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational readiness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metro area and Ohio highway systems
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips
- Willingness to complete additional safety certifications
