Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles within the Austin metropolitan area and surrounding routes.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on schedule, ensuring accurate delivery documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT) and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B required (MVR must be clean).
- Current DOT medical card on file.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial driving preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle handling.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
