Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes throughout New York and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and partners during deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or maintenance needs to dispatch immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 minor moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic laws and routes.
- Excellent communication skills and time management abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
