Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional and local routes within North Carolina
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to strict safety standards and defensive driving practices
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Hazmat regulations (H endorsement preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte metro area and NC highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
