Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within Austin metro and Texas regions
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre-trip safety checks
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all federal/state regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate route status and delays proactively to operations team
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Texas roadways and delivery protocols
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Smartphone proficiency for digital logging apps
- Flexibility to work early mornings and occasional weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
