Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Virginia and neighboring states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs (ELR compliant)
- Safely load/unload freight using specialized handling equipment
- Adapt to variable schedules including overnight runs and weekend deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and on-time delivery
- Uphold FMCSA safety standards and company protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations (certification preferred)
- Strong familiarity with Virginia roadways and DOT regulations
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight stays
