Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Illinois and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs via electronic logging device
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining exceptional safety standards
- Build positive relationships with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including overnight trips
