As a Route Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our clients receive their freight on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on designated delivery routes within Long Beach and the greater Los Angeles area.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers at each delivery location, handling signatures and any special delivery instructions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Keep the truck clean and organized, adhering to all company appearance and sanitation standards.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure zero accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in route delivery or logistics.
- Current DOT Medical Card and valid DOT physical.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic patterns.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor vehicle checks.
