Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) for regional freight delivery
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous vehicle inspection logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while meeting tight delivery deadlines
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time load tracking and exception handling
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions and delivery confirmations
- Document all freight transfers and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional freight experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment (pallet jacks, dollies)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of Northeast corridor highways
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
