Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across Virginia and neighboring states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS rules, and company safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills and route optimization knowledge
- DOT medical card and Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
- No preventable accidents in last 3 years
