Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, HOS, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Document trip details, incidents, and mileage in electronic logging systems
- Represent Coastal Transport Solutions professionally at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
