Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A & B) safely and efficiently on assigned routes, including local and cross-country assignments.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all weight and balance regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and records using electronic logging devices (ELD) to comply with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the required endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- A clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
- Physical ability to load and unload cargo and sit for extended periods.
