Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for regional freight delivery
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols during all operations
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading processes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of California highway systems and local regulations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for on-time deliveries
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during loading/unloading
