Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess valid legal working status.
