Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/semis) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines and minimize downtime
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip for mechanical safety and compliance
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, dollies)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork (BOLs, manifests)
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or issues
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to pass physical examination annually
