Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork according to DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck cabin and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional road maps in Austin, TX.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual handling tasks.
