Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) across designated routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient load management and on-time delivery
- Uphold Swift's safety-first culture through defensive driving practices
- Build positive relationships with clients during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery schedules
