Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for multi-state freight delivery
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification preferred for specialized routes
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS tracking systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Southwest regional routes and weather conditions
- HAZMAT certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong communication skills and time management abilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Flexibility for overnight stays and weekend shifts as needed
