Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency while meeting strict deadlines
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete electronic logging systems and required documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Hazmat materials handling (certification preferred)
- Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Exceptional safety record and commitment to compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
