Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) adhering to all DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes while maintaining accurate delivery records and logs
- Inspect vehicles before/during/after trips to ensure optimal safety and performance
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using proper equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Uphold Swift's commitment to safety and customer satisfaction standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
