Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on various routes across the Northeast.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are secured and protected.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks, delivery paperwork, and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers to coordinate schedules and deliveries.
- Keep the truck clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Class C driver's license required (Class A training provided upon hiring).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and a drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn and obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements if desired.
- Must possess a clean driving record or demonstrate a willingness to address past infractions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required.
