Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for multi-stop deliveries during overnight hours
- Pre-trip inspections and daily vehicle maintenance documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS compliance protocols
- Efficiently manage delivery routes using GPS navigation systems
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device records
- Communicate dispatch and customer service updates in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Night shift availability (11 PM - 7 AM schedule)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Jacksonville metro area roadways
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance situations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during freight handling
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
