Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for local deliveries within Tucson metro area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklift)
- Represent Desert Transport Solutions with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Tucson metro routes and Arizona highway systems
- Strong knowledge of HOS regulations and logbook maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in varying weather conditions
