Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and legally in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution is correct for optimal handling.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety policies and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to cross state lines and travel long distances.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
