Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper documentation and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs using ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to strict delivery schedules and time windows.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel to resolve any issues.
- Represent Apex Transport Solutions professionally and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) with no restrictions.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Excellent driving history with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and handle time-sensitive deliveries.
