Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and vehicle logs.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
