Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) in metropolitan Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and handle documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington DC traffic laws and restricted zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
